Students looking for a professional career in the hospitality industry (hotels, resorts, tourism) pursue hotel management courses after 12th. BHM (also called bachelor of hotel management), MHM (also called the master of hotel management) are well-known hotel management courses. Hotel management admission is either based on merit or the results of hotel management entrance exams; students in both cases are required to score up to 50% marks in total in class 10 and class 12 exams.
Eligibility for the hotel management course is passing class 10 and class 12 exams with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. In some cases, eligibility for hotel management after 12th is having a diploma in hotel management or certification in hotel management.
Hotel Management courses do not limit the scope of the students only within the hospitality sector. Students may take an MBA Course or other Master's in management courses in order to foray into other segments of management.
